Looking for a 3.08 gear set up (ring and pinion). Also looking for a posi carrier as my current posi carrier with 2.73 ratio will not support 3.08 gears. Let me know what you have. Thanks!

OK, so I got my gears, -still looking for a posi carrier. The series carrier I need should have casting/part number 9784972. I can even trade you for mine, which accepts up to 2.93 gears and is posi and OEM.

This 8.2 BOP Auburn posi will work with 3.08 gears. It's just over $400, from lots of vendors.

I have an original posi unit already gone through and checked out by a reputable builder. If you are interested. It is the one you need.

Auburn makes 2 versions for the 8.2 BOP, that'll work with 3.08's. Sold by Summit and lots of other places.

Thanks, I'm aware of that but want a rebuildable GM unit, I like the cone clutch vs carbon clutches. Auburn is the only Mfg that makes a carrier for 308s. If Eaton would sell them I'd jump on it.

The description of the "Pro" unit says that it is the cone clutch style. Don't know if that's what you are referring to, or not.
