I have a 67 convertible in process of restoring. I am going to put on 15 inch rallys. Does anyone know what tire size will fit comfortably all around? I am not going to do any body mods.
Thanks so much
Mark

Are you trying to get as wide as you can? Usually that is what folks are asking. I have 225x60 BFG Radial TAs on 15x6 Rally IIs. Not super wide at all but good solid look. Drive good. Zero worries.

215-65-15's. I had them on my 67 for a while. There was a little rubbing with a passenger when I hit a dip. My friend has the same size on his 67 bird and never had a problem. I've got those wheels/tires on my 69 goat now and went back to 14's on the bird.

I used to run 245/50/14 BFG on 7" rally's. It was a squeeze but they went on. Shortest sidewall I could find. No rubbing but I had to drop the car because they looked so tiny in the wheel opening.

Just looking to see what width will fit comfortably on front and back and also the height. 15s give more options for tires. Want to put a wider tire on than stock. Not looking to put a big wheel/short tire or lower car.
Build has a long way to go. I am working on the rear section, everything out there. Rebuilding the rear end and need to decide on gears. Want to put a gear vendors overdrive on my Muncie 4 speed and tire size factors in on what highway RPMs I will get.
Thanks
67 HO convertible,4 sp, factory AC.

Thanks for all the replies. Gives me an idea of tire sizes and what highway RPM's I will get.

I just replace mine last year, the car came with 235-60-15. They rub a little on the upper inside wheel well when turning left an hitting a bump. Other than that I need to replace the shocks on the front, just find a tire dealer that can put a good balance on them.
