Just getting ready to bolt my freshly painted subframe on and forgot which way the brace goes on. There is a "scallop" or "dimple" on one side, does it go to the front or back??

Any one know or have a correct picture??

"shoulda taken a photo of that one too"

I never notice a dimple or scallop. I've had mine off and on several times, goes on either way. The holes are in the same place no matter how you put it on.

Here's some shots of mine. Mine's a 67 so it has holes for the factory shifter mounting. That's how I figured out how to orient it. Maybe it doesn't matter, as Sanford says.

Glad to see my M-20 isn't the only one out there "seeping" a bit! If it was dry under there I'd be concerned!

I think that's motor oil, Nash. Hopefully the tranny is water tight. If the tranny is orange, does that mean it started life in a Chebby?

Well mine does!, and it looks like it was meant to be there but I knoe there is nothing that would "nestle" down in the dimple.

I did decide to put it in as I noticed some scrape marks on one side of the crossmember so figured that must be the front!
