...thumb after you hit it with a BFH trying to knock out the UV joints from the driveshaft of your '89 chevy pickup?

What color is the tendon that runs over the top of your thumb?

How many minutes do you have to clean this wound before you regain full feeling in your thumb?

How many Hail Mary's and Our Fathers can you say while waiting for the nerve blocker to work?

Which hurts more: Skill saw blade or a BFH?

Can anyone besides me answer all of the above questions?

So, your typing with the right hand only?

Sorry to hear it. If it makes you feel any better, I had a drill with a wire wheel get loose from me last summer while I was stripping the underside of the car. I had it locked on and it ran up under my shorts while running.

Left quite the scar.

Greg,

Just another reason to take the driveshaft to Republic Diesel and let them install the U-joints.

Hope you heal quickly!

Greg, get well soon. I have my own battle wounds and can sympathize.

Yeah, but it's no fun unless you describe them!

Greg - I can tell you how many cups of blood the artery right under that tendon can spray before the ER doc sews it up, and how long before physical therapy has the reconnected tendon back to full motion...

Took the tip of my finger off with a jointer/planer a few years back, but that doesn't hurt as much as hitting one with a BFH. The throbbing will stop eventually and by this time next year you'll be back to hitting things with a hammer. Get well soon.

Terry, thank goodness it didn't make it all the way up if ya know what I mean...

Although, I don't plan on having anymore kids and I really dont't want to have to go and get snipped. Hmmm...?

I hate when that happens.
Did that about 2 months ago driving the cup in. Not bad enough for stitches though.
Hurts dont it? laugh
