What came on a Standard '68 Firebird? The Sales Manual notes for the custom option:
Exterior Appointments: ° Bright metal wheel opening moldings at front and rear. ° Handsome, chrome-plated deluxe wheel discs. ° Dual horns.
Dual horns also appears to be an separate option, 414. So, assuming that 414 and custom interior were not selected, what would I have gotten?

It would have been the low. The high, alone, sounds like a moped horn.
I did come across something odd in the parts index. It shows the high on the left core support, the low in the middle. I just assembled my horns a couple of weeks ago, and the high definitely fit in the middle. Anyone have a car without the filler plates installed to verify?
My horn was non functioning when I got it. It was located on the center portion of the core support as the drawing you linked noted. I had several people tell me I was supposed to have two which is why I asked.
