The orange wire is for accessories, the brown? I'm wondering if that's for a tach.

Check your fuses if you haven't already. Also reach up to the wire connector for the cluster and make sure it's in full contact of the gauge pod. Do you have a ground strap from the light switch to the gauge pod?
