Do you have a ground strap from the light switch to the gauge pod?
This is how it looked just before reinstalling, not sure which strap your talking about, I know I'm missing the strap from the AC controls to the lower stud so I'm using a jumper wire for that ground and it did't have it before when it was working. I did remove the wire I added but it's still the same.

The connector on the orange wire plugs into the fuse box. The connector on the brown wire connects into the connector on the orange wire. It most likely goes on IGN or ACC terminal, where you currently have other things connected. Those would be used for accessories that could be added to the car.
Blower motor uses brown as does Power-Flow ventilation. If that orange has a black stripe, it was used for power seat, power windows
Since my car is pretty basic is it safe to say I could just tuck those wires back under the dash out the way?
