A trick my friend Pat did with his '67 400 (now 455) conv, was to put a short piece of chain between the motor mount bolts for the driver side mount. One end on the block and the other on the frame. A low tech racing safety device, and better than solid mounts. You could do that for the passenger side for when the car is in reverse.
