Keep in mind that with a fifth grade education you could figure out what to tell the tag maker guy when you ordered the tag. They only cost $200 and they fool most people. I think what you would/should be looking at on this car is the quality of work done when he switched the vins. If he did a nice job switching them it's pretty much what he says it is. Then there is the stamping on the front of the engine block, date codes, ect. I doubt it's any where near numbers matching on the block. It's probably like John's ram air bird, correct(close) but not numbers matching.
