Hey Randy how are you,remember we met last summer when you were out for a drive and spotted my bird at my parents place.For what its worth my 350 runs around 35-40 psi at idle with a mellings oil pump 20w50 brad penn oil.
Generally speaking, the "rule of thmb" of 10 lbs. per 1,000 RPM is okay, but not "in stone". Many small block run only 45-50 lbs., but rev well beyond 7,000.
At a "hot idle, in gear", one should have at least 20 lbs. It should "jump" to 60 lbs., before it reaches 2,000.
