The obvious fix would have been to send the guy that did the job but because our office is stuck on making the numbers, they didn't want the guy that did the job to drive all the way from Abilene to fix his own problem. And a lot of the time I have to fight with the customer to get the job fixed properly, since we are all about the numbers and the customer comes last.
sounds like the owner of your company need to learn about business...every business is the same..."you sell widgets" whatever widgets are...tvs, cars ,service ,architecture, yourself... you need to do two things to have a succesful business , 1) make the customer happy 2) make a profit
and usually ,if you make your customers happy , no 2 will follow!
you do those two things , business grows , you make money......it is very simple...
when I took over my dads dealerships in the 83 down market I grew both while the businnes in total city went down....no 1 goal, "make the customers happy"...
