Dont quit until you've secured another job. You're much more marketable while you're employed. Once you secure another offer letter, you could go back to your current employer and try to renegotiate your position. Create competition for your services... that includes potential future employers.
I really don't want to quit but if we keep losing customers because of poor management etc. then I'll probably be next to go or maybe not. I really rather wait until I got laid off to get another job, I've never been fired or laid off before but, I like stability and to a point this job is. The money isn't the issue, I get paid well and the way the economy is I'm lucky to have a job. It just seems my company is sinking mainly because of it's greed for money, inefficiency and lack of listening to the customer. If you don't have customers you don't have a company. We are the largest fire protection company in the world but not for long if it keeps going this way.
