A passive approach will solve nothing. I think you should start applying pressure on the situation until you fix it, break it or get fired.
Dump the US vs Them perspective, align yourself with both views and start barking solutions on how to achieve results in customer support, profit, whatever. Don't ask or seek approval, just start doing it.
Be a leader, stay focused on eliminating waste. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain so start acting that way.

I agree with that to a point but not to the point of getting yourself fired. From what I understand, Jeremy has been speaking up about matters and they refuse to listen or follow his advice. It's going nowhere. I think it's better to find another job and walk away with a good reference than to get fired over something they refuse to change. A person can't force a person to change if they don't want to. Let them take themselves down while Jeremy betters himself.
