Here is a really dumb question
Is the bearings supposed to be round (ball bearings)? The bearing I cut off had ball bearings

I thought axle bearings were more long tapered like?

Whatever is the correct bearing is there a right or wrong orientation to install it?

Also can I use anti seize or some lube on the axle tube bearing surface when i do finally get my new axle ready to install?

Are there gaskets to be replaced between the brake backing plate and the axle tube flange? I think i saw a metal one?

And the bearing retainer bolt on plate what does that use for gaskets and seals?
