What is seldom stated, is that the "rich" pay most of the federal income taxes already. Actual IRS data (I can find the IRS webpage source if someone wants to verify it.)
The top 1% of earners now pay 40% of federal income taxes. The top 10% pay 70%. The top 50% pay 97.1%
The only way to further stick it to the rich and provide a tax "cut" to the 95% Obama quotes is by paying many who don't currently pay any taxes. Obama's "disribute the wealth" and "share the wealth" is exactly that. There is a term for that; socialism.
This talk is 'fear tactics' just like what got us in the Iraq war. Don't be sheep... And why would you want to bash just one candidate for touting tax cuts when they both talk of tax cuts! LOL
I'm sorry but I can't feel sorry for someone who has to pay 3 % more tax in the portion of their income over $250K. I've paid the top tax of 36% when I was only making $90K. We are only asking billionaires to pay 39% of their income(over $250k) to help out the country. If you keep being so stingy that you can't pay 3% more tax in your income over $250K then you might as well sell the Grand Canyon to the Chinese because that's where we are headed if we do not pay off our national dept.
