I echo Mark's comment that from a Canadian perspective this has been a very interesting thread. Thank you to the site administrator for allowing it to continue. A couple times I thought is was shut down. I admire the fact that you can duke it out and still remain friends.
North America has some challenging times ahead. We cannot leave the next generation the burden of this debt. What ever domestic policies that might be applied over the next four years will have little significance in comparison our response to the threat that looms from foreign ownership of our resources and manufacturing capability. The next strategy will not be to lend us money. It will be to buy our countries and the future of our children. We can't compete with state directed corporations from Asia that are using our own money against us until we get our act together.
If we really got our sh#t together it might take us the rest of our lives to turn this around.
