Wow, you dont attend this site for a day (went to Paul Riss for amonster garage)and see what you miss... let me put a few notes in here 1) I`m sooo sick of all political phone calls, tv ads etc...I`ll be happy wednesday ,because its all over! 2) Jim (Fbody) said Obama is a conservative Democrat....thats SOOO far from the truth..we cant even begin to discuss it , he is THE MOST left in the left of the democratic party...meaning ,he is a socialist... believe me , I can pick him out...lived that same stuff in Sweden under Olof Palme...(check and see what happened to him in 1986, and not until 3 years ago Sweden recovered) 3) 50% +- of the country is really beng fooled ,either the people believing Obama is not a socialist, OR the rest of us...only time will tell...and I`m afraid I dont have 25-30 years to dig back out if I`m right! not any scare tactics, just experience.... 4) small businnes will suffer some from Obamas tax situation, but it wont hurt them so much ,because they will pass on their costs...so the people PAYING the tax increase for small business are ALL of US, as we buy things, hire services.. I work for a small businness, we are home builders, a very large small business,,,no 23 home builder in the country...when our taxes go up, we have three choices, increase the price of our homes, lay off people or just have less profits...less profits in a very tight economic situation, wiil usually mean tighten your belt...= lay off people plus decreases in cost..lay offs the most common... so the 3rd is most likely similar to the no 2 choice. the no 1 choice , means higher costs for buyers
and people have complained about jobs going overseas...in this situation ,even more would ,every small bus. , that can outsource stuff overseas ,will = more job losses here, = more money to be paid out by others with jobs, = higher taxes for 'welfare'.
other small bus. will react the same way...my side business, drafting of hoomes or additions and remodels...with higher tax for me , I have two choices, do them , add the tax in = higher costs to my customers, or dont do them... many might decide no to do the work , what does that mean? when many dont do the work , a lower GNP...the whole country produces less...= less taxes come in...
in times like these ,you dont raise taxes, you reduce them...look at this scanario...just look at what Sweden di in the 70`s ...to 'help' workers we increased overtime pay to 200% vs our overtime here at 150%...with a high tax rate we had in Sweden , 50% and UP...people asked to do overtime got caught up in a higher tax bracket...would you want to work over time and get $2.50 out of every $10 you made?? is that an incentive? NO....so ,they didnt want to work overtime...but many had to , job deadlines etc req`d it... SO, we got time off instead = untaxed! great , right? You work 2 days OT , get 4 days off...sounds great...
but when many in the whole country do this , can you figure out what happens to the GNP?? and the total tax income? it goes down....what the result? gov`t raise the taxes to recoup....an evil circle...
do the opposite, lets say we pay 25% tax here, even raise the taxes as Obama says...IF SO, lets at least reduce OT taxes...you work OT, pay 1/2 your normal tax rate!! incentive?? you bet..many would work ot, for less taxes...what happens to GNP? it goes up...the whole counry produces more ,and when it des, the govt can get more taxes ,even at a lesser rate!
you need 'carrots' , not sticks....higher taxes are sticks...higher tax is not a reward for job well done..
is not that hard! but its un-socialstick...and wont happen w Obama.....
free stuff isnt free, its paid for...'tax the rich' will come back around to bite you...those people own the companies that make the products this country sells....if they pay more, so will you...
thinking that tax the rich will help you is like going out to lunch with your lawyer...he suggests going out ,you say thank you, ...he pays for it, you think you had a great free lunch...following week you get the bill, not for the $20 worth of food you ate, but for the $100/hr his charge is , since he happened to discuss some legal matter of yours with you....LOL
anyway . McCain wouldnt be my perfect or preferred candidate, but with the choices as they are , I will not do a blunder as I did with Perot and vote 3rd candidate...I will not vote Obama...its going to have to be the 'anti Obama vote' going with McCain...not because of Obama being black, or that there are some questions ,even by Democrats (Berg) about his eliglibility, but because of his very left wing ideas, his left wing studies...
