I heard that this morning on the news, it was from his speech last night which said: "We may not get it done in the first year or even the first term but we will get it done"

The man does know how to talk politics. It was just a political retoric speech they all do after elction day.
And just like with Bush, people will hear what they want and interpret the rest.

All I can say is we'd better give the man a chance. First off, we have no choice anymore, second to get out of this funk we're in the country needs to come together.
How it all gets done is up to those that got elected or already hold office.

If Obama really wanted to make the country feel better while somewhat spiting the countries that spite us, cut off their aide money and use it for domestic programs.
