Although I believe McCain was foolish to acknowledge Hagee's support, it is Hagee, not McCain, who made that statement. Just as Falwell made the preceding statement. And McCain is not a member of Hagee's congregation. There is a big difference.
Neither of them are running for President.
Likewise, Wright and Ayers are not running for president, and Obama has never said anything close to what they have said. Heckuva double standard you have there. And regarding endorsements, McCain is pictured next to each of those men because he sought out not only the photo op, but their endorsements, because he knew he couldn't secure the Republican base without them. And this is after he had discarded them in the past as agents of intolerance.
As for lists, I see everyone chose to focus on the usual liberal targets- "omigawd Jane Fonda!!!", but chose to completely ignore the list I posted just a few posts above..... "radicals" endorsing Obama among those "radicals" are three former members of W's cabinet : Powell, McClellan, and O'Neill. But, hey, if you want to play the guilt by association game and not-job endorsement game, consider this: Al Qaida supports McCain
This is still fun, but when I hear comments that include "pigs at the trough", and "osama giving welfare to his brothers", I think we are abusing the privilege that Geoff has given us here. I know I won't change anybody's mind, but I still enjoy arguing the actual facts and points, and clarifying why I believe what I believe. I respect you all, and your beliefs, and your candidate, and I believe that both you and your candidate want what's best for Americans, we just have different ideas how to do so. Insulting either of the candidates with racist or personal attacks demeans all of us.
